Are you wondering what your doing wrong and what value you have to offer because your not generating leads yet?

 

Network Marketing can be a difficult industry to be involved in if you are very new, and I can speak from experience because when I first started a few years I really struggled in a lot of areas. 

 

One of the main area’s I struggled in, which I’m sure most people have, is generating leads.  Purchasing leads was the only way I could build my business and honestly it wasn’t very effective.  Sure I managed to build a downline, but they were not quality prospects and didn’t stick around for long.  And soon enough all the money I spent on leads was wasted!  So what other options are there? 

Well you can start by learning a strategy to start generating leads and you can do that by firstly positioning yourself as a leader.

 

You might be wondering how you can position yourself as a leader when you’re not quite there yet, you don’t know everything and you don’t yet have a downline and you’re not generating leads. Well the answer is simple.  What have you learned so far while being in this industry?   And is what you have learned commonly known by the other 95% of network marketers? 

 

No of course not, so you know something they don’t already know.  So take what you know and share it with others.  Once you start doing that you will be providing value to others, therefore positioning yourself as a leader.

 

I know for a while there, I got stuck in the learning mode and had about 10 different mentors so I was spreading myself too thin.   This is very common in this industry, we get caught up with what everyone else is doing and trying to keep up that we end up being overwhelmed with information and not generating leads. 

 

Choose one or two mentors and follow them and also choose one marketing strategy and concentrate on that until you master it.  You’ve probably heard this a lot but it’s true.  Choose one strategy and become an expert at that and start sharing what you learn with others.  You will soon discover value you didn’t know you had.

 

Video marketing is a great way to do this.  Your followers will be able to develop a trust and a relationship with you once they get to know you by watching your videos.  Be real in your videos and don’t try to be someone else.  If you focus on just being the person you are you will be the leader your followers are looking for.  Listen to your feedback you get from your followers, you will be surprised when you do. 

 

You may feel like the information you are giving is inadequate but remember those who are five or ten steps

behind you will appreciate your experiences and your honesty.

 

Lastly, step out of your comfort zone.  You may not being comfortable making videos right now, or perhaps your not comfortable with some other strategy but you will reap so many rewards if you step out and conquer your fears.  Remember if you’re not uncomfortable, you’re not growing!

 

You’re main focus on the day should be generating leads so at the end of each day look back at what you have done and ask yourself if your day has been productive.  Did you generate any leads?  You’re day should be focused on lead generating/income earning strategies.  Don’t get side tracked with other tasks.

Network Marketing can be a hard industry to master and things certainly don’t come easy especially when it comes to generating leads.  It takes a lot of hard work and consistency but believe me, once you start seeing results you will be glad you kept going.  It’s so worth it.
